One of the most enticing ways to use essential oils is to make your own perfumes. Natural perfumes harmonize better with the smell of your skin, are more subtle, and seem to have a "life force" that is missing from the synthetic perfumes on the market. Do you ever walk in a crowded area and notice several women wearing the same perfume? Enhance your uniqueness and develop your creativity by making your own from essential oils.
TO MAKE YOUR OWN PERFUME blend your essential oils into a composition that pleases you. Dilute with jojoba oil, which does not turn rancid over time, to not more than a 25%eo + 75%carrier oil ratio. (This is quite strong! If you are sensitive, modify this to a weaker solution.)You can use your perfume right away, but the longer it has for the molecules to bind together, the more finished it will smell, up to 3 weeks. Natural perfumes do not last as long on the skin as synthetics, expect this to be true, and do not use a higher ratio of EO's. If scents always fade quickly on you, try exfoliating and moisturizing your skin daily.
