Price:$5.95

(cymbopogon martini motia) India & Pakistan. Steam distilled from the grass' leaves.

Though is is sweet and floral-scented, Palmarosa is actually a fragrant grass. Because of its heady floral fragrance, that smells very similar to Egyptian Geranium, Palmarosa also has the nick-name of "Turkish Geranium" from ancient times in Constantinople where it was used to adulterate Rose oil. Though it is still used extensively in perfumery, Palmarosa is also added to many kinds of skin care products. Sebum-regulating, Palmarosa is good for oily and dry skin. Many creams for aging skin contain Palmarosa because it is reported to increase cellular regeneration, giving the skin a more youthful appearance.
