Hot or Cold, an aromtherapy compress is a soft towel that has been soaked in water with a few drops of essential oil.
TO MAKE A COMPRESS: Put 2 cup of hot or cold water in a bowl or basin, and add 3 to 6 drops of essential oil. Disperse the oil and place a cloth in to soak briefly. Wring out the towel and place the compress on the appropriate body location. (Never around the eyes.)

HEADACHES: Lavender or Lavender/Peppermint
MIGRAINE: Lavender or Lavender/Peppermint/Marjoram
SUNBURN OR FEVER: Lavender or Peppermint
INSOMNIA: Chamomile or Chamomile/Lavender
PMS CRAMPING: Clary Sage or Geranium
PMS SWOLLEN BREASTS: Geranium
SORE MUSCLES: Eucalyptus/Juniper/Chamomile (low dilution)
